How to Maintain the Beauty of Your Bathtub Surface
Proper Care of Your Bathtub
- Remove excess water and wipe tub dry after each use.
- Drain the shower pipe after each use, and be sure the faucets are tightly closed.
- Do not rest any soap bottles, spray cans or wet cloths on the surface for long periods of time.
Cleaning Your Bathtub
- Even if the tub surface does not look dirty, it should be cleaned at least once a week with a liquid cleaner.
- Do use a liquid cleaner such as Fantastik, Lysol Tub and Tile Cleaner, Liquid Ajax or Formula 409.
- Never use abrasive cleaners on your bathtub surface. Abrasive cleaners include Ajax or Comet. Even Soft Scrub is mildly abrasive.
Proper Use of a Bath Mat
If you find your bathtub surface to be too slippery, use a special non-suction type bath mat. Do not use conventional suction cup bath mats, stick-on flowers, or stick-on strips. Remove the bathtub mat after each use. And do not hang the bath mat over the tub. Roll up the mat and put it away.
Remember, if you treat your new bathtub surface wtih respect, clean it regularly, and keep your taps dry, your fixture will stay shiny and bright for many years.
